Ragusa: a dead city, anesthetized. There are spaces for young people!

few months we are all called to the polls to elect a new candidate for mayor of Dubrovnik, an event that lies ahead for the future of our city, a future not only administrative but also political.

I want to start my speech with the words of Fausto Raciti (National Secretary of Young Democrats), I want to echo the words spoken at the first congress National Gd " we're not the generation of 'anti politics, we are creating an enemy of political parties and institutions, we are the generation that has chosen the commitment and pledges to take back their future."

With these words, I want to talk to all the youth of this city for you to reflect well on their future and what this administration has created, or rather did not create for our generation.

Today we are still here, in front of a national situation in which freedom was strangled, where the constitution is constantly attacked, insulted the judiciary, the media gagged (also face book I want Purple people remember the page that has been obscured) satire denied, where the school becomes a school of puppetry, where the University and the culture are trampled upon, where the work is put in the last step of a long list of personal interests , where the crisis is not overcome, and many families continue to survive, not even coming later this month.

And it is the face of these injustices that we young people must think about the fate of our future and we must respond by informing and showing. We must make our voice heard by any means available: from politics to both 'internal to the parties' internal associations, using the Internet, reading foreign newspapers, publications, links, tagging, struggling and resisting. Because if in Italy there is still hope, dear friends, dear boys, that hope is in our own generation. We must be starting to rebel against a system that is putting our country to its knees.

In our little reality things are not so different from the national situation.

administration that governs our city has failed in recent years to seize the bodies of young people and make great Ragusa, as promised in the many slogans during the last election campaign.

Ragusa is a dead city, anesthetized, reduced vegetative state. And we must cry out loud that we are tired of this paralysis. We want a city that opens many opportunities for young people. Job opportunities, entertainment, socializing, increased tourism.

What did this administration to young people? Nothing, totally nothing. He banned the breath of young generations. You can not go out dancing at one club if not why not issue licenses for the dance, because the bureaucracy is too complex and time consuming, you can not go drinking after the two because this administration is the only province in implementing strictly an ordinance prohibiting the serving of alcohol after the two to prevent various types of accidents, but not considering that, as we saw in the summer, young people moving to other destinations Ragusa Pozzallo or even as Victoria and Scoglitti, increasing the risk even more.

I understand that the order is nationwide, but in recent months I have been to Rome, Milan, Naples, Venice, Catania, Palermo, Agrigento and I could not find one locally after the 2 do not give alcoholic beverages.

Young people can not even be free to invest to get a job in Ragusa. So many guys have invested money to open a restaurant in Marina di Ragusa and Ragusa Ibla and it seems that this administration was ruthless against them. In summer, the premises were limited to putting a few tables close to their local because a lot of space in a promenade of 10 square meters where the space would allow families to walk quietly Ragusa.

A Ragusa recently, the city has fined Vigli boys, or owners of premises that had not exposed the sign "no give alcohol to anyone under 16 years" or that they had the tables without permission. Well there are clubs that have paid the occupation of public land to 4 meters in Marina di Ragusa and then the footage was reduced by 2 meters and the City did not return the difference of the amount paid to the rightful owners .. I think it would take a penalty for late payment with the administration in this regard.

I understand that we must respect the rules but do not understand why this administration works only to keep the support of some and not for the collective good and especially for young people.

the port is built, the new waterfront, it makes Ragusa Ibla UNESCO and then you do not give services to tourists denying them even to sit down and drink a cocktail. In summer, remember that many tourists were complaining of the lack of premises in the Marina, especially not being able to drink of alcohol after 2. There is nowhere in Italy and Europe a similar situation that has arisen in our city. If we go around for Italy Local clubs are full, they have all the permissions to keep the tables throughout the year out with its cover in the winter months and have no problems with different dosing schedules.

Not to mention, then, that in this city, the music is prohibited on the premises because they do not just get up a bit 'more of the volume is now war between firefighters and the owners of the premises.

The world of associations, pursuing their complaints that this administration was not able to meet many young men through a commonplace that the City could and should be made available, but instead has given to groups of people neighbors, friends that we certainly can not call "Ordinary People."

short, Ragusa has now become a city for seniors. Dear guys, now that I have even taken away the University agrees that all go away and invest elsewhere where there is certainly more freedom and more opportunity, or, together, all those who fight this system that is crippling our city but even most of our future.

E 'need to break this system that a myopic political class, unworthy, attached to comfortable chairs and sofas and dusty old has created all these years, you must return to get angry, you must join and you must scream, yell that we are tired of a city anesthetized, now reduced to a vegetative state, shouting that we are tired of a city with no concrete decisions on youth policy, shouting that we are tired of a city with no job opportunities, shouting that we are tired of a city that lacks a concrete future years years of administration and the right have made it increasingly dark and darker. And 'much-needed spare a proper and necessary part of the political class of our city, for a policy that is still the daughter of' excitement, passion and participation, with the sole interest is the good of the city and its citizens.

And that is why I invite you to reflect and think well of your future!

We are and remain available for those of you want to talk to us.

The Secretary of the Young Democrats of Ragusa Valentina

Spata
